Sclerotherapy

This is for the safe and effective treatment of broken capillaries and thread veins on the body. This treatment has been used for over 150 years. Sclerotherapy treatment will eliminate 5-80% of the injected vein. Around 10% of people may not respond to the treatment.

Micro-sclerotherapy is the injections off a sterile chemical into the blood vessels using small needles, causing inflammation and irritation to the vessel causing it to shrink and collapse.

Pre treatment advice:

Loose clothing to be worn area the area
The area being treated should be free from
Aspirin or ibuprofen should not be taken 10 days before treatment or post treatment
Paracetamol can be taken.

Aftercare:

Class 1 stockings must be worn on the treated for 10-14 days after treatment.
No heat treatments including swimming, steam room, sauna or whirlpools for 48 hours.
Avoid direct sunlight for two weeks.
Avoid aspirin and ibuprofen post 10 days after treatment.
Showers are allowed, but these should be slightly cooler than normal.

Consultation is required before treatment.

Several treatments may be required depending on the broken veins, 6 week intervals between sessions.
